It is with a very heavy heart that I add this update. Joey succumbed to his injuries on July 25th. He fought bravely, and though we hoped for a different outcome, he is now at peace.

We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, and support we have received during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will help ease the financial burden on his wife and young children as they navigate life without him. Thank you for your prayers, kind words, and generosity. On Tuesday, June 17th, Joey Kratzke was involved in a tragic and life altering incident. He sustained very serious injuries and remains in critical condition. While the full extent of his recovery is still unknown, what we do know is that the road ahead will be long, difficult, and filled with uncertainty.

Joey is more than just a hardworking man- he is a devoted husband and a loving father to two children, ages 1 and 4. He is the kind of dad who plays in the yard even after a long shift. He never misses a horse show and the chance to support Cassie and the kids. He is the rock of their family, and always puts their needs above all.

Anyone who knows Joey, knows that he shows up ready to help. He has always been the kind of person who shows up for others. Now, he and his family need our support more than ever.

We are creating this fundraiser to help ease the overwhelming financial burden his wife and children are facing—from medical expenses and hospital stays to everyday living costs during this unimaginable time.
