Stand with the Garcias: Family Support

This GoFundMe is being created in support of the Garcia family. Gabriel is an 11th-grade student whose father, Pedro, is hospitalized due to a medical condition. He is in the process of undergoing a third invasive surgery. Pedro Garcia is the primary provider of the home. About a year ago, their previous landlord asked them to leave the place for unclear reasons. After leaving, they struggled to find a permanent new home, primarily due to their lack of employment, causing housing instability. Father has looked for employment but has not succeeded in securing a job; therefore, he collects metals and recycles them to meet their needs. In addition, unfortunately, Gabriel's mother, Gilberta Garcia, is visually impaired, which makes it very difficult for her to take care of herself or Gabriel. With support from Pedro and Gabriel, they help Gilberta around. However, now that Pedro is hospitalized with limited strength to stand up and being fed through the vein (TPN) due to the surgery, a lot of stress has been accumulated for this family. Gabriel has been going to visit his father after school at the hospital with his mother on the bus. It is still unknown when Pedro will be out of the hospital due to having a slow recovery and the prior procedures not being very successful. They are a wonderful, united family who are always positive, respectful, and resilient. Despite everything, Gabriel always manages to smile, comes to school every day on time, and maintains good grades. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. All contributions from this campaign will be spent on supporting the family's costs of food, medical bills, and basic life necessities.
