Ignacio is a wonderful father, husband, neighbor, worker and friend. He was detained by ICE in front of his home as he left for work on June 17 and shortly thereafter taken to a detention center in Louisiana. He is one of the many immigrants who were in the system and doing what the law asked, and yet he has still been detained and his family is desperate for him to come home.
Why We’re Raising Funds
Ignacio and his family’s situation is extremely fluid at this time. Regardless of what happens in the coming days and weeks, the Duran family urgently needs support to:
- Pay trusted immigration attorneys to represent Ignacio in court and navigate the complex legal proceedings.
- Cover bond fees, application costs, and court-related expenses to help gain his temporary release.
- Pay for travel, document translation, and administrative fees required throughout the legal process.
- Support the Duran family with immediate and short term material needs, such as paying rent, groceries, and medical expenses.
