Hello, my name is Sue, and I’m a single mother to two incredible children who both have special needs. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request. I need your help to protect my children and keep them with the only parent they’ve ever known: me.

Since 2023, I’ve been laid off from two corporate jobs and have been working contract roles just to stay afloat. Despite my efforts, I’ve been struggling to cover both everyday living expenses and the growing legal fees tied to an unexpected custody battle.

Their biological father, someone who has never been involved in their lives or contributed financially is now taking me to court to gain custody. Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but sadly, it’s very real. I’ve tried to keep up with the legal costs, but I’ve reached a point where I’m forced to choose between providing for my children’s daily needs and securing legal representation to protect them.

My children need stability, consistent medical care, and the love of the parent who has always been there for them. I know that being taken away from me would cause them deep emotional harm and disrupt the critical routines that help them thrive. This fundraiser is my last resort. Without legal representation, I fear I may lose them.
