I moved here to the U.S.A. in 2019 from Argentina to pursue my dreams and to further my education. After a couple of years, I met and married my now ex-husband. Unfortunately, our relationship could no longer work out. Over time, he became more and more emotionally abusive and controlling, eventually using physical punishment on our 1-year-old son, and that is when I knew I had to leave, so I did.

In a short time - after many relentless hours of work, I was able to apply for a daycare that my son loves, work a full-time job, get a comfortable apartment for us both, and save for my own car after using the bus/uber to travel primarily for months.

I created a safe and happy home for my son and me.

Unfortunately, though, during the time of my divorce, my legal representation at the time failed me and I was not notified of our only and final court hearing - which included custody. I was not longer the primary custodial parent for my son, and I was not even there to be able to fight for him. I appealed and the case was re-open. I've been waiting for months to see any changes in my case but since July 2025 my case barely had any moves. I've had paid my new attorney 11K already and I have to put down 6k more soon. My next date is in May 2026.

Please, I'm asking you all for any contribution you can help me with to reach the amount of money that I need to be able to fully afford this and fight for my child. With the money raised so far I was able to pay a part to my current lawyer and thankfully my case is being worked on by it needs to be faster since my baby's father recently took my baby away from me for the second time.

Sadly, I didn't seen my son for over two months at that time and at the beginning of March 2026 he was withheld by his father again.

Justice is on the way, I know, I trust God. The system is just too slow and way too expensive and impossible to afford on my own: a single mom who wants to see her baby happy and healthy and without interruptions to see his mother due to his father craziness.

For me side, I am doing as much as I can on my own to try to pay for everything (house, legal representation, food, my baby needs, bills, etc.) from working a full-time and door-dashing at any hours that I have available and planning garage sales to sell my personal items and donations that I receive.

Me mudé a los Estados Unidos en 2019, soy de Argentina, vine aqui para perseguir mis sueños y continuar con mi educación. Un par de años después, conocí a quien se convertiría en mi esposo (y pronto ex-esposo), y nos casamos. Lamentablemente, nuestra relación dejó de funcionar. Con el paso del tiempo, él se volvió cada vez más controlador y emocionalmente abusivo, llegando incluso a recurrir al castigo físico con nuestro hijo de un año; fue entonces cuando supe que debía irme, y así lo hice.

En poco tiempo —tras muchas horas de trabajo incansable— logré inscribir a mi hijo en una guardería, conseguir un empleo a tiempo completo, alquilar un apartamento cómodo para ambos y ahorrar para comprar mi propio automóvil, después de haber dependido principalmente del autobús y de Uber para desplazarme durante meses.

He logrado crear un hogar seguro y feliz tanto para mi hijo como para mí. Sin embargo, y lamentablemente, durante el proceso de mi divorcio, mi representación legal de aquel entonces me falló: no fui notificada de la única y definitiva audiencia judicial que se llevó a cabo, la cual incluía la resolución sobre la custodia de mi hijo por lo cual dejé de ser la progenitora con la custodia principal de mi hijo, y ni siquiera estuve presente para poder luchar por él. Presenté una apelación y el caso fue reabierto! Llevo meses esperando ver algún avance en mi caso; sin embargo, desde julio de 2025, el expediente apenas ha registrado movimiento alguno. YhEn total, he abonado 11.000 dólares a mi nuevo abogado y, en breve, tendré que realizar un pago adicional de 6.000 dólares. Mi próxima fecha de audiencia judicial está programada para mayo de 2026 y el dinero tiene que ser depositado pronto.

Por favor, les pido a todos ustedes cualquier contribución que puedan aportar para ayudarme a reunir la suma de dinero necesaria para cubrir la totalidad de estos gastos legales y poder así luchar por mi hijo. Con los fondos recaudados hasta el momento, he logrado abonar una parte de los honorarios a mi actual abogado; afortunadamente, ya se está trabajando en mi caso, aunque es importante acelerar el proceso, dado que el padre de mi bebé me lo ha arrebatado recientemente por segunda vez a su antojo y sin temer a la ley.

Tristemente, durante aquel periodo estuve más de dos meses sin ver a mi hijo y, a principios de marzo de 2026 una vez más ya que su padre volvió a retenerlo lejos de mi sin dejarme verlo.

Sé que la justicia está en camino; tengo una gran fe en Dios.

El sistema es simplemente demasiado lento, excesivamente costoso e imposible de costear solo por mi cuenta: soy una madre soltera que desea ver a su bebé feliz, sano y sin interrupciones en el contacto con su madre a causa de la inestabilidad de su padre.

Por mi parte, estoy haciendo todo lo que puedo por mi cuenta para intentar cubrir todos los gastos (vivienda, representación legal, alimentación, las necesidades de mi bebé, facturas, etc.); para ello, trabajo a tiempo completo, hago deliveries de comida a cualquier hora que tengo disponible y organizo ventas de garaje para vender mis artículos personales y las donaciones que recibo.
