Stand with Rose's Family in Their Struggle

Donation protected
This is to help the daughter and family of Rose Tachjian or better known as "Ro-Ro".

Rose has been battling PAD and Vascular Disease for the past 11 years. Prior to 2016, she had had multiple stents and bypasses done on both legs. At the beginning of 2017, her problems became worse and unfortunately had to amputate one of her legs. She was a strong woman and bounced back! But that wasn't the end of her story. Over the years 2017-2020, she went in for more extensive procedures on the stump and other leg that she had. In January of 2020, we had to rush her to the hospital and had no choice but to amputate the other leg. Lets fast forward to the present.

Rose began having excruciating pain in her left stump. It began to start turning color and became very very painful. Doctors did imaging and they said she had no visual blood flow to both of her stumps. At the hospital they gave us three options....

1. Go into her groin and do an "exploratory" surgery to see if they could find or fix where the issue was. The problem is, there was is so much scar tissue and she is so weak, that she may not make it off the table and/or if she does, they probably won't be able to fix anything, and the wound would never heal and she would be in the hospital until she passes.

2. They could get the orthopedic team on board and would do a major, high-risk surgery of removing her stump from her hip socket. Again, age is a factor, her weakness is a factor, and the recovery time would be so long and she may not even make it off the table and/or make it through after the surgery.

3. Finally, go home and be on hospice until the stump turns black and dies.

She made the strongest, bravest decision that any human could make which was to come home and spend her days with her family....which isn't many.

This woman loved with all of her heart. She always would try to cheer you up and make you happy. She has the kindest heart and would help anyone that needed it. The effect she has on so many lives is astonishing. She gave the shirt off of her back back to her family time and time again, without expecting anything in return. She was the best person to ask for advice because she would just listen and not judge. Nothing in life is more important to her than her family, daughter, and granddaughter.

Anything will help. Please donate what you can to help this family and daughter get through the tough road ahead.
