Stand with Robert Barnes in His Health Struggle
Donation protected
I am Robert Barnes's daughter Tiffany Barnes. I am currently helping to care of him during this time. I am reaching out to you during this difficult time for my family and me. My dad, Robert Barnes, has always been a pillar of strength in our lives.
At 60 years old, he continues to inspire us with his determination and love. Over a year ago, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and diabetes. He almost died in July of 2023 with 40 lbs of water around his heart and lungs. Since then, we have been navigating this challenging journey together. We were able to luckily get him into the ER in time to get him treated.
Despite the challenges, my dad has shown incredible resilience. He has under gone various treatments and lifestyle changes to manage his condition, but it has not been easy.
In February of 2024 he was laid off at his job after 32 years of working there. He was devastated as he loved where he worked and spent over half of his life working there. He loved everyone he worked with and took great pride in his work.
On one particularly concerning day in May of 2024, just before his cardiologist appointment, we noticed he had a fever of 103 degrees. This took my by surprise, as he had been feeling relatively stable. He did not look good. So he was rushed to the ER once again. That day marked a turning point; we realized just how fragile his health could be with he found out he had severe cellulitis in his leg and went septic. He spent 10 long days in the ICU. While he was in the ICU we also found out he has cancer.
Because he no longer had insurance due to loosing his job, he has faced a mountain of medical expenses- hospital stays, doctor's visits, medication, and necessary lifestyle adjustments. He now has to walk with the assistance of a walker. I am asking for your help. Ive started this GOFUNDME campaign to raise funds that will assist with his medical costs and support him through his cancer treatments.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and allow us to focus on what truly matters; his health and well-being.
My dad has always been there for me- cheering me on at high school games, riding multiple busses through the years to make it to school performances, etc until he got his drivers license.
Now its my turn to support him the best way I can but I cant do it alone. Together we can help alleviate some of the financial burdens he faces so he can concentrate on getting better.
Thank you for considering helping my dad during this challenging time. Your generosity means more than words can express. Please share this campaign with others who may want to contribute as well.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Tiffany Barnes
