From the Boston Tea Party to Black Lives Matter, protest has played a vital role in shaping American history. Today, Portland is being used as an example under ICE enforcement, and our community is hurting.
Our neighbors are afraid to leave their homes. Immigrant families are living in fear. Children worry about going to school because they’re scared their parents may not be there when they return. We have shown up peacefully to protest—and for that, our community members are being tear-gassed, shot, and even killed.
The U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights guarantee our freedom of speech and peaceful assembly, yet people are still being harmed for exercising those rights.
Our community needs support now. Immigrant families urgently need diapers, formula, wipes, food, hygiene supplies, and activities for children. Protesters need basic safety and medical supplies such as saline for eye wash, first aid kits, goggles, and protective gear.
Funds raised will go directly toward purchasing these safety and care items, all of which will be donated to local mutual aid groups supporting immigrant families and frontline protesters. Every contribution helps protect, care for, and stand in solidarity with our neighbors.
