Stand with Palestinians: Support the West Bank Olive Harvest

Donation protected
I am grateful to be able to go back to the West Bank, P@lestine in October and participate in the olive harvest trip with the Center for Jewish Nonviolence (CJNV) for three weeks. I am seeking financial support that will go towards my accommodations, airfare, transportation, and food in addition to project materials, training, and facilitation led by CJNV. This on-the-ground work will offer P@lestinian communities essential solidarity and frontline support during a critical cultural and economic moment. I will leverage my American and Jewish privilege to help mitigate harassment against residents and contribute to resilience in the region.

Thank you for your generosity and solidarity! More information about the olive harvest trip with CJNV is below.

"The olive harvest in P@lestine is a powerful moment of sumud (steadfastness), in which P@lestinian farmers and families tend their olive trees and work their land as they have for generations. It is a material and symbolic act of resistance to land theft and expulsion and an affirmation of P@lestinian livelihood and culture. For this reason, it is also a time of increased settler-state violence, where settlers and army violently try to keep P@lestinians from reaching their ancestral lands and harvesting their olives. As Jews, it is a meaningful act of solidarity and co-resistance to show up with our partners in this moment – to materially support by harvesting olives and documenting human rights violations, as well as to stand in solidarity with our partners against land theft, settler-state violence, and systems of oppression and segregation that allow one community to flourish at the expense of the other.

We know from experience that the presence of solidarity activists mitigates settler and military violence against local activists and community residents in Area C of the occupied WB. CJNV has forged dynamic, sustained, and trusting relationships in solidarity with communities throughout the region across more than eight years of co-resistance against state violence and dispossession."
