On August 19, 2026, our family’s life changed overnight.

My wife, Olga, was detained by ICE and taken to the Eloy Detention Center in Arizona. In effect, it's a prison. Olga has now been separated from her children, her husband, and the life we have built together in the United States for the almost a decade.

Authorities accuse Olga of residing in the U.S. illegally, despite the fact that our immigration case has been pending for all these years. During that time, U.S. government agencies continued to renew the work and identification documents for Olga, myself, and our two sons, Bogdan, 17, and Nikita, 21. Olga’s current documents are valid through October 2029. We have worked, paid our taxes, supported our family, and tried to live our lives while trusting the legal process.

Then, on August 19, Olga was suddenly taken away from us.

In early September, a judge granted her release on bond. For a moment, we felt hope. Then we heard the amount:

$90,000.

This is 60 times the statutory minimum.

It is an overwhelming amount for our family, especially while we are already facing enormous legal expenses fighting to keep our family together.

Those who know Olga know her as a kind, hardworking and caring person. Right now, the only thing standing between her and coming home is an amount of money our family simply cannot manage alone.
