Hi, my name is Florence Miller. My youngest son Najee Packard was involved in a terrible car accident. The vehicle he was in caught fire. He was able, by the grace of God, to finally make it out of the vehicle but not before the fire caused third-degree burns to the back of his head, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Also, the lower left side of his back to his waist was affected as well. Additionally, his lungs and throat were also damaged by the burning fluids in the vehicle. He has been intubated for weeks now.

His surgery schedule is twice weekly. Although hopeful, the reality is that he may not recover the full dexterity he formerly had in his hands. This could be devastating as he loves to cook and hence how he has formally earned a living.

The road ahead will be a long and difficult one for him as he'll need physical therapy, psychiatric counseling for his “new appearance” while suffering the loss of a dear friend who succumbed to his injuries in the vehicle fire.

    I was hesitant to do a GoFundMe for him as we are quite private but I have to put aside my pride to help my son. The funds will be used towards medical expenses, equipment or  and or medical supplies and his bills and other expenses related to his needs.

Update: Hello friends and family. Your prayers and donations have meant so much to us. Najee is now in-intubated has had his feeding tube removed and for now the doctor says no surgeries. He is now going through therapy for his shoulders first and then arms and finally fingers. As the nerves are reattaching and new skin is forming he tends to feel pain, but overall he’s doing much better.  

He began walking for the first time earlier this week and we were astounded. There is a long road ahead but with your prayers and support and positivity we will get through this. 

Please continue to pray for the De La Cruz family as they laid Daimian to rest this past weekend. He will be missed as he was a very loving and giving young man.
