We are trying to give Miles a lifetime of memories in the time he has.
On February 3, 2026, four-year-old Miles Lehman was diagnosed with DIPG — a rare, aggressive, inoperable, and currently incurable pediatric brain cancer — turning his family’s world upside down overnight.
Miles is an inquisitive little boy with a deep love for nature. He is a preschooler who adores cooking shows, baking with his grandma, racing on his scooter (especially at Caltech), books stacked high by his bed, and long cuddles with his mom and dad. He absolutely loves his Corgi, Murray, and his hero in this world is his cousin Zoe. Miles brings an incredible light and curiosity into every room he enters.
Immediately following his diagnosis, Miles began steroid treatment and underwent a biopsy. Those results are still pending and will help his parents, Gisela and Jacob, determine whether Miles is eligible to enroll in a clinical trial. In the meantime, Miles has started daily radiation therapy, traveling each day from Alhambra to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Nothing can prepare a family for such a sudden and heartbreaking change in their lives.
There is no cure for DIPG.
What there is — is time. And right now, time is everything.
Gisela and Jacob are pouring every ounce of strength they have into loving Miles, advocating for him, and being fully present for every precious moment they have together.
How Your Support Helps
This fundraiser has two important goals.
First, to help ease the overwhelming financial burden of:
- Daily travel to and from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
- Radiation treatments and medical care
- Upcoming quality-of-life care needs
Second — and just as importantly — to help Gisela and Jacob give Miles a lifetime of memories in the time he has.

Seeing the Sequoias — trees as big and awe-inspiring as his imagination. Visiting Pebble Beach to hunt for gemstones along the shore. Filling his days with books, cuddles, and precious family time. Your support helps create space for joy, comfort, peace — and as many beautiful moments as possible.
