On Sunday, November 16th, 2025, our family experienced something no one ever imagines. Miguel Angel Garcia Martinez — a U.S. citizen — was unexpectedly taken by ICE/Border Patrol agents. Out of fear for his safety and confusion about what was happening, Miguel panicked and fled, resulting in a low-speed chase of only 35 mph across a short 1.5-mile distance.

Miguel was released on an unsecured bond on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, and while he is finally home, the situation is still far from resolved. He is facing three felony charges that could impact his life and future, despite being a U.S. citizen and despite the fear-driven circumstances of that day.
