Stand with Matthew: Support for Mom's Recovery

Hello, my name is Matthew Timman.

On March 7th, 2025 I flew from where I live in Arizona to check on my mom in Ohio after being unresponsive to contact for two days. The following weeks were a blur resulting in an extended hospital stay, a cancer diagnosis, physical and occupational therapy, and radiation treatments.

I have been in Ohio for three weeks on unpaid FMLA leave from my job as a 5-12 music teacher for BASIS Charte Schools. I am going back to work for three weeks while my sister comes into town to oversee her care, and then I will return for three more weeks of unpaid leave.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help with the loss of pay and travel costs for me to be with my mom and take care of her in Ohio. I would appreciate your help if you are able to donate. My wife and I are both teachers, and anything would help.
