I am reaching out during the most difficult chapter of my life—one filled with heartbreak, confusion, and a desperate hope for justice and stability for myself and my children. I never imagined I would have to share this story publicly, but circumstances have left me with nowhere else to turn.
Our Story
After separating from my children’s father, we faced severe financial strain as I tried to provide a safe and stable home for my kids. My mother, knowing I was struggling, told me time and again, “All you have to do is ask. I never want to see you hurting when I can help.” Eventually, understanding how well she had done for herself, I swallowed my pride and asked if she could help us keep our family home—with an agreement in writing that I would buy it back from her within two years.
She agreed, and for a time, things moved forward. There’s over $100,000 in equity in the house—equity I have built through all the payments and care I’ve put in. While attending college (thanks in part to my mom’s support for six months), I underestimated the demands on my time. My income dropped drastically, and despite my best efforts, I fell behind on some payments. When I explained my struggles, my mom assured me that “even $10” would help. I sent what I could, expecting compassion and understanding.
Instead, everything changed. She became hostile and refused my proposals, even when I suggested selling the house so I could access the equity I had worked so hard for. Suddenly, my mother insisted this wasn’t my house or my equity—that I was only a tenant, and that I would have to pay rent or face foreclosure, with no claim to the investment I’d made. Despite trying to reason with her and proposing a fair solution, she refused and served me and my children with eviction papers.
Worse, when she took this issue to court, she submitted altered documents and deleted portions of our messages—concealing our true agreement from the judge. I was devastated to learn, just days before the hearing, that all my evidence needed to be filed in advance. I missed that deadline, and the eviction was granted by default. Now, as of 5pm today, my children and I are being forced out of our home—our sanctuary and everything we have left.
I asked her if I can move in to her house... if I have to leave today like wtf options do I have. She said no that I'm a bitch and she can't stand me. I asked again, she said more of she can't stand me. Said my kids will be taken if I don't have a home and she said not her problem.
Why I Need Your Help
There is still hope. Two attorneys have reviewed my case and strongly believe there are grounds to challenge the falsified court documents and fight for the agreement I made in good faith. However, in order to take this fight to court and protect my children’s future, I urgently need to raise a retainer of $8,000 for legal representation.
Every donation—no matter how small—will bring us one step closer to justice and a home for my children. Your generosity will not only help my family, but will also stand as a powerful reminder that fairness, truth, and community support can make a real difference.
