️ Help Us Save Our Family Legacy in Little Haiti
My name is George Raymond, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family, our business, and our community.
In 1986, my father founded Edward’s Body Shop in the heart of Little Haiti, Miami. It wasn’t just a body shop—it was a neighborhood fixture, a place where people felt respected, taken care of, and seen. Since my father’s passing in 1998, my brother and I have worked every day to keep his legacy alive—not just through auto repair, but also through 44th Cave Ministries, which we established on the same property to serve the spiritual and emotional needs of our community.
Now, we’re in the fight of our lives.
Targeted by a Bully Bank. Harassed by the City.
Our family business is under siege. A bank has tried to force us into foreclosure by slapping $45,000 in forced insurance on our mortgage—raising our monthly payments from $8,000 to over $20,000. This is nothing short of predatory.
And as we try to navigate that, the City of Miami has placed a lien on our property, demanding we replace the roof as part of a 50-year building inspection—without offering any realistic support or flexibility.
We’re not a big corporation. We’re a small, Black-owned family business trying to do right by our community.
⚖️ We Need Legal Help—And We Need You
We are urgently trying to raise $25,000 to pay for legal representation to protect our business, our ministry, and our home base. We’ve exhausted every resource we have to keep the doors open and continue our work—but we can’t win this battle alone.
Stand With Us
If you’ve ever had your car fixed at Edward’s, attended a prayer gathering at 44th Cave Ministries, or simply believe that communities like Little Haiti matter—we’re asking for your help.
• Every donation brings us closer to justice.
• Every share helps amplify our voice.
• Every prayer reminds us that we’re not alone.
This fight is bigger than one business—it’s about preserving history, fighting financial injustice, and standing up for the people who’ve always been there for their neighbors.
Thank you for supporting our family and our mission.
With deep gratitude,
George Raymond
