My name is Leonie, and I’m sharing my story with a heavy but hopeful heart. As most of you are already aware, I buried my little sister in May this year. Trying to overcome the grief and the hurt from losing my sister, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and the journey ahead is one I cannot walk alone.

I am saying this because I need your help. In August, I received the devastating news that I have an aggressive form of breast cancer. Since then, my life has been filled with doctor’s visits, tests, and the start of treatments that have left me weak, exhausted, and unable to work as I used to.

While I focus on fighting for my life, the medical bills, travel costs for treatments, and everyday living expenses keep piling up. Insurance only covers part of my care. My family is really trying to keep up with everything life throws at us, but there are times when it becomes overwhelming.
