Stand with Karla: Prevent Deportation

Karla Munoz is a mother a wife a friend a worker. All of towanda knows her, her face, her family, they know her being a hard worker and a loving mother to her son, Thomas Michael Mahoney who will be turning 4 in a few days. Karla has lived in America for nearly 10 years worked hard to do so properly. Recently she has been under the inspection of homeland security and was taken from her home on April 24th by ICE to Clinton County Correctional Facility. After recently facing charges of a DUI the Towanda magistrate saw she wasn't innocent of her crime but her cooperation with the law showed her disposition as docile compared to the other law breakers in our town. She was ready to go into ARD and pay her fines, do community service and handle it like any other american. Karla was now an immigrant who had broken the law, her visa paperwork, now stained as a dangerous criminal. This made her a target for ICE and immigration services and is now being investigated whether she needs to be deported. Karla is close to completing her citizenship, she pays her taxes, she's worked for many businesses in the community and serviced all kinds of people at those jobs. Karla's coworkers and customers are all proud to be her friend because they know her as beautiful, strong, funny, and most of all trustworthy. Karla has adapted herself to the community and we all recognize her smile and energy, it is why we love to be around her no matter where she finds herself working. She is facing an incredibly difficult situation none of us could ever fathom experiencing. She needs all the help, love, and prayers, we can gather for her from a community that loves her so dearly.
