Hi friends of the Genia family. I am deeply saddened to share the update that Kara’s cancer is back. While we joyously celebrated Kara beating liver cancer last summer, she is tragically not out of the woods yet, as the cancer has spread to her adrenal gland and potentially to her lung. I wish I had more information to offer at this time. All we know is that Kara and her kids will need the assistance of family and friends this summer as Kara pursues treatment at the Mayo Clinic. We will know more information about her treatment after Kara’s appointments at Mayo on June 24-26. So please stay tuned for more information regarding Meal Train and household help sign ups. In the meantime, please consider donating to Kara’s Go Fund Me to help sustain the family through the summer and early Fall when Kara will need to take a hiatus from work due to the cancer treatment.
