The Truth They Don’t Tell You

This fight — the paperwork, the court dates, the gaslighting, the silence — it didn’t just break my heart. It broke my health. I live with:

• Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

• POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)

• CPTSD from prolonged trauma

• Chronic nerve pain, spinal instability, and mobility issues

Even my children haven’t been spared from the trauma. My daughter started having panic attacks. My youngest daughter can no longer sleep alone. I kept begging for trauma-informed care, and no one listened.

I kept showing up anyway.

I’ve complied with every demand, submitted every document, passed every drug test, completed parenting classes, and maintained medical compliance — all while disabled and unheard.

Still, I’ve never had a real chance to defend myself in front of a judge.
