My name is Kristi and I am fundraising on behalf of a dear friend of mine, Julia, who has been navigating a challenging and financially overwhelming custody dispute involving her youngest daughter.

ABOUT JULIA + THE CASE

Julia is a self-employed, single mother. Due to the sensitive and ongoing nature of the case, few details can be shared here. What can be said is this: she is carrying more than one person should ever have to carry alone.

I have personally borne witness to the sacrifices Julia has made for the well-being of her daughter and it is painful to watch a mother so devoted to her children go through so much to protect her place in her little girl's life.

Despite countless obstacles, Julia refuses to give up on her little girl and is fighting every day to protect and preserve her family.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED

An initial GoFundMe was run in January 2024 and the goal of $5,000 was met, much to our delight and gratitude.

Child custody cases are among the most complicated and costly. Due to the time-consuming nature of this case, Julia has on many occasions been forced to turn down potential income opportunities in order to be available for various hearings, briefs, meetings, and the like.
