Hello everyone, my name is Douglas and I have created this campaign to benefit my best friend Josh whose mom passed away suddenly on June 29, 2024 by the hands of his brother. Misty was only 51 years-old at the time of her passing and as you can imagine her family is still trying to process the tragic events that took away a wonderful mother, daughter, aunt and cousin to many. Misty was a widow to her late husband Raymond who passed unexpectedly in 2016, and together they adopted twin brothers who were very young at the time of the adoption. This campaign was created to benefit their son Josh who is now left with the uncertainty of where he will reside as well as how he will maintain financially while dealing with the loss of now both parents. His brother is currently detained in a juvenile detention center having solely caused the tragic untimely passing of his mom. Because of that I am asking for help with Josh’s expenses for things like his education, school and travel basketball, and all the basic everyday necessities a young man needs to be successful while navigating life.
