Jose Bojorquez. A father. A husband. A family member of ours has been taken away unfairly by ICE. We are filing for a habeas corpus for the government to tell us why he was unfairly taken. We are battling to pay for legal fees, rent, and medical bills. As he was the main source provider for his family.

On September 17th, 2025, just like any other day, Jose was on his way to work but had to check in with immigration right before going to work. While at his check in he was grabbed by ice. With no reason or excuse, they took him away from us. He’s currently 60 with many medical conditions. Physically, he isn’t doing so well. He’s settled in Seattle, Washington, in ICE custody. He’s a member of the community of Silver Spring, MD 20906. Jose and his family are just one of hundreds—thousands—who are being pulled off the streets. They have rights. They have hearts. They have dreams. We will not give up. We will continue to fight for his release.

In moments like these, silence and inaction are not neutral—they are harmful. When our neighbors are treated unfairly, we must show up. We must speak out. We must act.
