Stand with John-Henry Against Parental Alienation

My name is John-Henry Mitchell, and I’m a devoted father fighting to stay in my daughter’s life. For the last six months, I’ve been battling an uphill legal war in Fairfax County, Virginia, not just for custody, but for truth, fairness, and the right to be a parent.

Despite having no court order restricting me, my estranged wife, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, has denied me physical visitation with my daughter since late 2024. I have only been permitted short, distracted FaceTime calls, all while she has unilaterally moved our daughter to a new daycare, removed me from medical records, used a falsified last name, and even attempted to erase me from her life entirely.

This is parental alienation, and it’s devastating.

What I’m Facing:

Withheld Visitation: I haven’t seen my daughter in person for over 6 months, despite no legal order prohibiting contact.

False Allegations: My ex has instead used a slander campaign with no proof and despite the fact that I voluntarily completed a full mental health evaluation confirming I am fit and sound.

Documented Domestic Violence Against Me: I’ve submitted evidence showing she threats and visible injuries.

False Records: She enrolled our child in a new daycare and medical system under a different last name, without my consent and without legal justification.

Military Abuse of Power: As a high-ranking officer, she’s used her position to evade accountability, and she is now attempting to relocate to Texas under PCS orders, trying to take our daughter with her before the court can rule.

Why I’m Asking for Help

This legal battle has drained my savings. I’m a full-time student and hard-working father, trying to rebuild after this crisis, but the legal fees are overwhelming. I’ve already spent over $100 000 just trying to assert my basic parental rights.

I need to raise $50 000 to continue fighting this case, present the truth in court, and prevent the unlawful relocation of my daughter to Texas which could permanently limit my ability to be in her life.
