Our daughter J’Leigh was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia. We first had the long hospital stay of 34 days while she was doing the more intense chemo. She’s now on a 24/7 constant drip immunotherapy called Blinatumomab. Instead of chemo killing everything the blinatumomab just targets the leukemia cells. When she started this new medication we stayed in the hospital for a week since it causes neurological side effects like seizures and tremors. Now we’re home changing out the bag to her pump every 2 days and weekly hospital appointments to change the dressing of her central line. This will go on for 28 days and then she has another long hospital.
