Stand with Jenna Elizabeth Against Domestic Violence
Donation protected
My name is Shannon and I'm the mother of this beautiful woman. Her name is Jenna Elizabeth and I love her. As some of you may have heard she was attacked by her now ex-boyfriend in June. She has finally stood up for herself and charges have been filed. The trial is scheduled for September.
The physical wounds have healed. The emotional and mental ones will take time. She was unconscious for a number of hours and is lucky to be alive. That is all I can say about the case.
She also lost her job that day, she worked with him for his father refurbishing houses. She has tried to find a job since and is continuing to look. But nothing yet. She is an amazing artist and is trying to sell some artwork to make ends meet.
My dilemma is her rent. She lives in Cleveland eight hrs away from me. My mama heart is aching! I plan to travel there for the trial, but in the mean time I am trying to keep her in her apartment til after the trial. She is dealing with enough right now. Her rent is $1500 a month which includes utilities. She lives in a duplex with her rescued dog Chop. She shares the duplex with a sweet elderly woman. They look out for each other.
I'm just trying to raise enough money to keep her there until she can get on her feet and be done with the trial. I can't pay my bills and her rent too.
I am so proud of her for standing up for herself and pressing charges. There is too much domestic violence in the world. If you have been touched by domestic violence or know someone who has, you know how scary it is to get up and walk away. How scary it is to face them in court, someone you thought you loved and you thought loved you.
If you can help, thank you so very much! If not, we understand, we all have bills to pay. But please at least say a prayer and share this with as many people as you can. Thank you and God bless.
Update: thank you to everyone who has donated and shared!!! She is healing and getting her life back slowly.
