Stand with Ivy Mae: Surgery and Recovery

Ivy Mae’s story.

Ivy was born at 29 weeks. She had her first surgery 2 days after she was born to remove fluid from her stomach. She was born with (cloacal malformation), which is a very rare condition where her vagina and urethra connect into one. She was born with no anus. About a week after she was born, she had her colostomy put on as well as her vaginostomy. Ivy has been turned away numerous times from close hospitals due to her condition. Ivy has had a total of 5 surgeries since birth. Ivy is having another surgery next month, and then shortly after, she will be admitted into the children’s hospital to begin her reconstructive surgery. Ivy will remain in the children’s hospital for a month. Unfortunately, UVA is unable to do her surgery and prefers her to be sent to another children’s hospital where they specialize in this. Six weeks after her surgery, they will go back in to make sure everything is working how it should be. Then, two weeks later, she will go back in for her colostomy reversal, which will have her admitted for a week to monitor.

Ivy is a warrior. She still has a long road ahead of her.

I am asking for prayers and support for Ivy, Jasmine, and Isaac.

Isaac will be missing work to be with his family during the time Ivy is admitted into the hospital.

Donations will go to their stay, as only one parent can be in the room, bills, as well as transportation as they will be traveling back and forth since the other kids are not allowed to be in the room with them.

Mainly prayers, as Jasmine and Isaac are going through this time for their daughter.
