Help Me Care for My Mom, Iva
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted community,
(most of you know me as Brandi Church)
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. A few months ago, my beloved mother, Iva, was diagnosed with cancer. Many of you may remember her from her years bartending at the Branding Iron or waiting tables at The Waterwheel—always with a warm smile, a quick laugh, and a heart full of generosity.
We’ve kept this journey private until now, but the time has come to ask for help. Iva has been undergoing chemotherapy, and while she’s facing it with incredible strength, the toll it’s taken on her body is profound. She needs full-time care, and I need to be by her side.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the financial means to step away from work and provide the care she deserves. This year has been challenging for so many of us, and I know not everyone can give—but if you’re able to donate or simply share this page, it would mean the world.
If you’ve ever been served a drink or a meal by Iva, you know she gave more than service—she gave joy. Her laugh is unforgettable, her kindness unmatched. She’s the kind of woman who made strangers feel like family.
Now it’s my turn to show up for her the way she’s always shown up for others. I need to be there for my mom.
I also have CashApp and PayPal if you would prefer to donate that way. Please message me on Facebook and I will send you the link.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us in any way you can.
With love and gratitude,
Brandi
