Stand With Her: Kim's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Some stories are harder to tell than others, and this is one I never thought I’d have to write. Our mom, our rock, has recently been diagnosed with invasive and aggressive breast cancer. Those words alone have shaken our world, but if there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that our family is full of fighters, our mom being no exception.
For 45 years, she dedicated her life to shaping young minds, teaching with passion and purpose. As a music teacher to all ages, she didn’t just teach notes on a page—she taught kids how to find their voice, their confidence, and their joy through music. Even after retiring, she continued to substitute because, truthfully, you can’t take a love like that away from someone like her so easily. Teaching wasn’t just her career; it was her calling.
Beyond the classroom, she is the heart and soul of our family. A mother of three and a grandmother of six, she has poured boundless love, wisdom, and laughter into our lives. Her grandkids adore their Grandma Kim, and she cherishes every single moment with them—whether it’s cheering them on at events, singing lullabies, or baking their favorite treats. She is the glue.
Now, as she faces the biggest battle of her life, we are rallying around her with everything we have. We are very humbly asking for help with medical and living expenses as she navigates this journey full of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and more. After decades of pouring into the lives of so many, now is the time for us to give back to her. If you’ve ever been touched by her kindness, her teaching, or her unwavering spirit, we humbly ask for your love and support—whether that be through prayers, donations, or simply sharing her story.
In times of trial, we lean on faith, and we trust in the One who holds all things together. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” We know that God’s love and strength are greater than any diagnosis. Even in this storm, we trust that He is working.
Please keep our mom in your prayers, lift her up, and surround her with the love she has so selflessly given to so many. She is not fighting alone. We are standing beside her every step of the way.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your love. ❤
