Return Irma Back to Her Family
Donation protected
A beautiful human being, hard-working mother, law-abiding immigrant, authorized to work, living in this country for 22 years, has been detained by ICE.
In 2003 Irma arrived to the United States of America with her two young daughters, escaping gang violence and looking for a brighter future for her family. Irma worked very hard, and with the assistance of an attorney, she obtained a work permit and later started a cleaning business that is registered with the state of Florida.
Irma did everything right—she followed the law and the advice of an immigration attorney. At one point, that was enough to keep her and her daughters safe. But today, despite her best efforts, it isn’t anymore.
On May 1st, when Irma reported to the immigrations office on a routine monthly visit, she was detained and sent to an ICE facility in South Florida.
If Irma is sent back to her country of birth, Honduras, she not only will be removed from her family, her community, her church and her livelihood, but she will also be torn away from her two daughters.
Community members are doing all they can to help, but only an immigration attorney can ensure the best opportunity for Irma’s safe return.
This GoFundMe page is to raise funds for legal fees. I hope you can find it in your heart to help Keydi and Claudia return their mother home. Your support can make all the difference in reuniting this family.
