I am the parent of a recent Montgomery Blair grad, an immigration law professor, and a member of a team of Blair teachers (especially the ESOL ones) and other Blair community members. We have been supporting a student whose dad was picked up by ICE and detained for over a month--just the kind of hard-working community member with no criminal record whatsoever that ICE is targeting. We secured his release in late June (thanks to a prior GoFundMe!), but he still has legal bills to give him the absolute best chance to remain with his family.

If any funds remain after we have paid this family's legal bills, we will either donate to support other Blair-cluster families facing down the immigration system, or if that isn't needed, to the wonderful Amica Center for Immigrant Rights , which does incredible work for our detained community members.
