Hi everyone, our family is looking to help other families in similar situations to the one that we currently find ourselves in. In short, we believe that our and other families' religious and medical freedom protections are being infringed upon in the state of North Carolina.

The state prohibits a child care facility from denying admission based solely on vaccination status if there is a valid medical or religious exemption on file (see NC 130A-157). Our son's enrollment was revoked when we provided a religious exemption, which they told us is unacceptable. We and our attorney believe that they did this unlawfully.

We need your help to take this legal stand on behalf of other families who are in similar situations. To be clear, this is about holding child care facilities accountable to recognizing and abiding by state laws. Our desired outcome is for families to have a favorable case to reference should they be told by a child care facility that their religious exemption is not valid in NC.
