Stand With Our Daughters: Legal and Emotional Aid

Hello, we are the Devey Family, and for the past three years, we’ve been in a challenging fight to protect our daughters. In October 2021, our oldest daughter bravely shared the heartbreaking truth about the sexual abuse she experienced from her biological father. Soon after, her younger sister, courageously disclosed similar experiences.

After immediately reaching out to law enforcement, working with DCFS, and undergoing medical evaluations, these allegations were confirmed to be credible. Their biological father is now facing multiple felony charges that come with prison time.

We are profoundly grateful for the family and friends who have stood by us throughout this journey, along with the invaluable support of therapists and our B.A.C.A family. As we quickly approach the trial, scheduled for this spring 2025,we’re facing the significant expenses needed to ensure our daughters have the legal and emotional support they deserve. We must hire a private victim advocate (approx.$3,500) and retain an experienced attorney (approx.$3,500) to help guide us through this complex process. Even beyond the trial, we will continue to pursue the termination of his parental rights to secure a safe future for our girls.
