Stand With Erika: Support Her Family's Struggle

My name is Erika Perez I'm Cal fire forestry Technician Fresno unit and I’m the daughter of Maria Valeriano. My mother was detained by ICE on June 4th during her routine check-in in Camarillo, California. I’ve been left to care for my two siblings on my own.

My mother was our rock. Everyone who knows her knows that she is a sweet, kind-hearted, and hardworking woman. She paid her taxes. She followed the rules. She is not a criminal. She loves this country. We're still in shock. She has now been deported to Oaxaca, Mexico, and the last thing she told me was, "I’m finally free."

But the things she experienced while she was detained in Los Angeles no one should ever have to go through that. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to VC Defensa and PSL Los Angeles for the support and everyone in the community.
