Stand With Eli and End Bullying
Donation protected
This fundraiser is intended to form a community, a tribe if you will, of support and kindness for Eli Barosh, who was the victim of a brutal attack of intimidation and physical violence in the halls of his school.
Eli's family has and will continue to incur fees for attorneys and advocates, possible missed wages due to meetings and appointments, and more.
We want to aid in this process so that Jana and Trey can focus on their fight for safety, inclusion, awareness, and positive change in not only our own district and schools but awareness to surrounding districts.
In the event that not all funds that are donated will be needed for Eli and his family will be forwarded along to the organization of choice by Jana and Trey.
A little about Eli in the words of his mother Jana:
“He’s sensitive and sweet.
He loves cats and silly dad jokes.
I have years of school pics with thigh high socks.. gotta love sensory issues.
He was born at 25 weeks weighing 1.5lbs. I watched his lay in the NICU for 94 days, almost dying twice, he stayed 9 months on caffeine and an apnea monitor because he couldn’t go 30 days without forgetting to breathe. I’ve always been his advocate throughout each diagnosis.
He has Cerebral palsy, hypoxia to the brain, brain bleed, autism, sensory processing order and dysgraphia (inability to write) but he shows up everyday (some days with his socks to his knees or clothes inside out. I pick my battles) he’s known on the em level as Baconator (an homage to his first cat best friend named Bacon. When he does, Eli said he lost his best friend.) Every test, every ARD, every phone call from teachers and admin who don’t understand him, I’ve always stepped up.
While holding him accountable because he wants so bad to be “normal” he doesn’t have many friends because he’s always struggling with social skills. He looks “normal” but he’s wired differently and that’s not his fault. He beats to his own drum but we have all embraced that. We live in his world. He’s tired of teachers being mean and not understanding his disability, the highlight of his weekend was making s’mores.”
