On January 24, El Teca—barbershop in Big Lake, Minnesota—had to close due to I.C.E. detaining one of their employees. To protect the safety of their employees, the business will be closed for the foreseeable future. Our goal for this GoFundMe is to raise money for the family of the employee who was detained. Any donations will help tremendously and be appreciated.

Donations will go towards:

- Helping the wife and daughter of the employee who was detained with legal fees.

- Groceries and other household essentials

- Loss of wages during temporary closure

El Teca has been a beloved part of the Big Lake community for over 7 years. Oscar, the owner, and his employees do more than provide haircuts; they have also given back to the community with free back-to-school haircuts for school kids, as well as a warm and welcoming environment for all who visit. We are heartbroken to see them struggle during these unprecedented times. Please help us to spread awareness and to show support for those who are being separated from their families, as well as those who have had their loved ones taken away from them.
