My name is Brittany I am pouring my heart into this go fund me page on behalf of my mother, Donna. When visiting the hospital for not feeling well September of last year she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is the most aggressive kind of cancer. However, she was optimistic that she was part of the 15th percentile that could have surgery to remove which, in fact, is the only cure for pancreatic cancer. She underwent eight weeks of chemo with mild complications, when having her scan at the end of chemo, she was called to Indianapolis emergency room immediately where we were told in the emergency room not only was she not responding to chemo, the tumor was still growing, and she has an obstruction in her bowel and needing immediate surgery, or she will die. However, she was 15% of candidates eligible for surgery. She fell short of the 30% that respond to the chemo.

She had no choice but to undergo the surgery leaving her with an ilostomy bag for life. Not only is her body fragile, but she is now encountered repetitive Bad news. After being stuck in the hospital for two weeks while recovering from the surgery like a champ pathology found after testing the part of the colon that was removed that she also has Adenocarcinom, cancer that has spread it attached to the colon.

as hard as it is to ask people for their support, it’s harder to imagine not giving my mom everything she possibly desires. My father hasn’t been working since the diagnosis to make sure he is with her every step of the way. The stress that it has not only mentally, physically, but financially put on him. It’s hard to bear. All he wants to do is fulfill her every wish and I will do whatever it takes to help see that through. We greatly appreciate our friends and family that have been here and gone out of their way for us this far and continue to be there for us in the most overwhelming time of our lives. Any, and all help is appreciated.

A dollar sign can’t possibly overwrite the value of the quality and quantity left of my mothers life, but It can certainly help with giving her the best opportunities and memories along the way. Anyone that has the pleasure of knowing my mom and dad knows that they are not only mine and my brothers, but my daughters biggest fan and they always show up. And that is my intentions with this page is for anyone to show up for my mom and dad however, they can. Thank you
