Stand with Daryl: A Trucker's Cancer Battle

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Daryl Murphy. I’m 47 years old, a husband, a father to six wonderful children, and a proud grandfather of three. In 2019, my life changed when I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of bone cancer. Since then, I’ve been in the hospital twice, but I’ve always tried to keep pushing forward—for my family, for my kids, and for myself.

For 25 years, I’ve been behind the wheel of a truck. Driving isn’t just my job—it’s been my way of providing for the people I love most. No matter how tough things got, I’ve always been the breadwinner, doing whatever it takes to make sure my family is cared for.

Now, my health is forcing me to slow down. I have upcoming medical procedures, and I’ll be out of work for a while. I don’t know exactly how long this journey will take, and honestly, that uncertainty is scary. What I do know is that I still have two kids in school, and my family depends on me.

Asking for help isn’t easy for me. I’ve always prided myself on standing strong and handling things on my own. But right now, I have to put my pride aside and reach out.
