We are some of the 2,000 COs that were terminated from the NYSDOCCS in March of 2025.
This all started because we were tired of unsafe working conditions. Forced overtime of sometimes 24+ consecutive hours. Our voices were not left unheard; this opened the eyes and ears of many who do not work inside these prison walls.
Our journey is far from over... as some now face unexpected medical bills from our medical insurance being canceled and backdated. Some of us are now facing legal action and need some attorney fees covered.
We now must work towards change.... policy change, and legislation change.
Cayuga Correctional Facility has terminated 83+ hardworking, fully trained, able-bodied employees who only asked for safe working conditions. These funds will go towards those families who need any type of financial help now and in the future to come as this is not over yet.
We have had overwhelming support from the community through this whole process, and this is the best way we can see fit for those who want to help but cannot make it to our fundraising event on April 12th.
