Stand With Coach Hop and Family

Stephen and Kimberly Hopkins have been a part of the Smithson Valley community for many years. They have raised their children here, worked here and been active in our community. They are parents to 2 that have attended SVHS and now their youngest children currently are enrolled in Johnson Ranch elementary school. If you were one of the lucky ones, Stephen Hopkins (aka Coach Hop), may have even coached your son playing football. He has been such an impactful role to not only coaching football but to impact young men as such a positive role model and leader.

Recently, Kimberly Hopkins has been diagnosed with cancer. She has already battled and overcame a breast cancer diagnosis several years ago. Unfortunately, she is now facing another battle of stage 4 Breast cancer, that has spread to her liver, hip bones as well as some of her thyroids. Due to this diagnosis, she has recently been forced to step away from her job in order to attend her weekly chemo treatments. This is her best option to beat this but with that decision there is a financial burden. This is where we as a community can come together and try to help this amazing family. There is no amount too big or small that would greatly relieve just some of the stress they are under at this time. If you have the means to do so, please consider donating to a family who is so deserving of some extra love and support during this time. If you cannot give, please pray for them as Kimberly fights to overcome what’s ahead.
