Stand with Cindy's Family in Their Struggle

Donation protected

I am Cindy Cline, reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my son's family, who have endured an unimaginably challenging 18 months.
The journey began with a devasting injury when my daughter-in-law was photographing nature when she took a plunge down a steep ravine and severely broke her femur. She was hospitalized and then in a wheelchair for months. My son had to care for her and their baby, therefore lost his job and they had to move in with me.

She finally gets mobility months later when in September, the life of my son's family changed even more drastically.
A series of unfortunate events occurred.

The Next Nightmare, my son was falsely arrested, and we spent the next 5 months fighting for his innocence.

My son's wife worked as a photographer at daycares.
My son was sitting in his car with his baby girl, waiting for his wife to come out of work for a break.
His daughter was asleep in her car seat and he decided to rest his eyes. The air conditioner was on, the car was a hybrid and was in electric mode which means it was silent.

Apparently, a passerby thought they were unresponsive in the car and called the police and EMS.
Upon police arrival, the police opened the door, pulled my son from the car and immediately arrested him on the spot.
My son has NEVER been in any legal trouble.

Shortly after he was pulled out his car, EMS showed up to the scene and confirmed the AC was on and did a full checkup on his daughter, confirming all her vitals were completely normal and cleared her to be released to his wife.
The officers were extremely rough with my son, accusing him of having the car turned off, when it was actually running in electric mode with the air conditioner turned on. Being silent due to it being in electric mode.

He was handled roughly and disgracefully by the officers in front of his 17-month-old daughter. The officers did not believe his wife was in the daycare about to be coming out for her break. They went through several methods that were not ethical.
My son was humiliated, frightened and traumatized.

Body Cam footage shows My son was completely compliant with the officers.

My son suffered physical damage to his wrists from the handcuffs being so tight it cut off circulation to his hands. He currently is in treatment.
Due to the arrest, my son lost his full-time job.
My son has no previous record and was exonerated on all charges.

November rolled around, and his wife, who was door dashing on top of her job as a photographer, was t-boned by a speeding driver. She thankfully was okay, but their car was totaled completely.
Because they did not have a car anymore, she could not work as a photographer and had to leave her job. They started using a bicycle instead to do DoorDash, when in May, a man stole the bicycle during an order.
Two days later, his wife was borrowing someone else's bicycle to continue DoorDashing, when she crossed paths with the thief on her bike.
She, upset, attempted to retrieve the bike from the man while calling the police, but instead got viciously attacked by the man biting her on her body, resulting in her being hospitalized and she has been dealing with health concerns since.
We are exhausted and have enormous legal and medical bills.
Your kind words, good thoughts, prayers, and generosity could truly make a difference in their our lives right now.

Your support will help cover immediate expenses such as housing, legal and medical bills, and the cost of getting them back on their feet.
Every contribution, not matter the size will bring them closer to finding stability and a path forward.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our story and for any assistance you can offer.
Your kindness during this difficult time will bring hope and relief!
In love and deep gratitude,
Cindy

P.S. Their ultimate goal is to own their own business, highlighting my son's music, and his wife's photography. But right now he is working at a cafe, and they both still do DoorDash via bicycle.

In love and gratitude,
Cindy
