Calling all Faithful Stand with Chuck Belgard and Family

We are the Belgard family, and we are reaching out to our community for help and support. We all know how things can sometimes come out of nowhere and that life sometimes happens. This year has been very challenging for all of us, my father Chuck Belgard has been the primary care taker supporting his four daughters. In February we were faced with the difficult task sitting down our two younger sisters and explaining to them that their mother had passed away. Here we are two months later and our dad Chuck Belgard was sent to hospital in pain where he got emergency colon surgery we all were aware of, but while in the hospital he has had several complications starting with an infected IV which has led the drs to finding MSSA (a type of staff infection) in his Heart as well as an Aortic valve malfunction which led to needing emergency open heart surgery to replace his valve with a bio mechanical heart valve (pig valve) During this surgery he suffered multiple strokes causing his vision to be impaired and not full control of his right arm . Due to this he was sent to Skilled nursing home for a month long doing physical therapy, and receiving iv antibiotics. He came home to us on the 18th of June ,but ended back into the hospital a few days later finding he had another infection in his bloodstream. He was just sent home with a midline an now has a home care nurse a couple times a week until the iv antibiotics are done . He’s also in for a kidney surgery in July to remove a stent and stones. This has left our family terrified! We are a strong group of sisters me and my older sister have been doing the best we can to comfort and care for our two younger sisters while he’s been in and out of the hospital and we will need to continue to support and care for them as well as our dad during his recovery. Unfortunately because of how the health system works it has been a difficult signing him up for EDD in the hospitals his disability insurance expired during his visit and as of now he has no income coming in
. I am sharing this story at my fathers request He is an amazing man with a heart of gold he cares for every person that he meets and tries to make everyone around him happy he’s known best for his really bad Dad jokes but also for his incredible fashion sense. He is the guy with a Dodgers hat in every color you could imagine and he takes pride in the things that he loves most especially his daughters and God through this challenging time his mindset has been to touch peoples hearts and spread his Christian Faith he is an upstanding member of his church Grace Harvest Ministries and spends a majority of his time involved in food ministry and community outreach one of his favorite things he’s done this year is support our church by setting up a booth at our cities crave night event where he’s been sharing the word of God an putting a smile on people’s faces.
He Knows that God will get him through this and use his story to reach others and help share the goodness of God!! To our community thank you for all of the love and support if you are unable to help financially we understand we are grateful for any help we can get anyone willing to send a prayer for a family holds just as much value to us .Just hold a space for my dad in your hearts because he holds the world in his heart! Thank you Jesus for all you do and the Blessings you’ve sent!
