Charlotte Jackson, I have known her 50+ years. Many of you know her, and are familiar with the work she quietly, and selflessly does behind the scenes in and around our local communities. You will never hear her use the word no, and you will never see her look the other way when someone has a need. Charlotte heard her calling, and is fulfilling that which she was called to do. Charlotte helps others no matter their position in life, political affiliation and or skin pigmentation color. We know this. We have observed this and been witness to it. Today, Charlotte has a need but she will never ask for assistance. Her need has temporarily hindered her from fulfilling her calling. Our mutual friend, local community leader, former Chancellor at San Jacinto College, and Rotarian from the Rotary Club of North Shore, Dr. Charles Grant asked “What can we do to assist her? He went on to say “She never ask anyone for help. I tell you what, I will put up the seed money if you will help me get the word out.” I believe in Charlotte Jackson, and I believe in Dr. Grant. I promised to create a GoFund Me account for Charlotte, and pray that her family, friends, colleagues, former classmates, and a few of the hundreds of people she selflessly helped over the last 50+ years will consider helping her.
