Yesterday, my husband Carlos was detained by ICE after being racially profiled. Our hearts are heavy, but our faith remains strong. Carlos is a kind and gentle man who has never caused harm to anyone. Even now, while detained, he continues to help others by acting as an interpreter for those who don’t speak English — always serving, always caring.

We are doing everything we can to navigate the legal process and bring him home. All the procedures are overwhelming, but we have faith that with God’s help and the support of our community, we will get through this.
