Hi, my name is Vanada.

I’m a child of immigrants, and also an immigrant myself living in the U.S. I’ve experienced poverty and fleeing my hometown firsthand. And now that I’m on the other side, safe and stable, the best thing I can do is give backand that starts with raising funds for those going through what I once did.

I normally don’t ask for much, but today I’m reaching out from the heart.

As a Cambodian emigrant, I’m raising money for the people in my hometown who have been affected by the ongoing conflict between Thailand and Cambodia over land. This isn’t about politics it’s about humanity. Families, especially innocent children, are being forced to flee their homes with nothing. Many were already living with so little, and now they’re left with even less.

You might be thinking, “How does this affect me?”

The truth is it doesn’t. But it also doesn’t hurt to help.

Even just $1 can make a big difference in Cambodia. It can buy clean water, noodles, eggs, and other basic necessities. So if you’re thinking about grabbing that Starbucks coffee today, maybe consider skipping it just this once and putting that $5 toward helping someone survive another day.
