We’re a grassroots group of local residents standing up for smart, responsible growth in Bunnell, Florida — not unchecked industrial sprawl.
Recently, landowners submitted a revised rezoning application that still proposes over 1,200 acres of land to be converted into heavy and light industrial zoning (L2 and L1). While they have officially removed the ACI (Agricultural Community Industrial) designation, the project would still create one of the largest industrial zones in Florida — and it's right next to family homes, wetlands, schools, and private wells.
We’ve made real progress: thanks to local pressure, the rezoning was pulled from the June 24 agenda. But this isn’t over. It is expected to return around August 18, and we need to stay ready.

Why This Matters
This rezoning would pave the way for warehouses, trucking facilities, and other heavy industrial uses — with no confirmed end user, no binding development agreement, and no environmental protections currently guaranteed.
We’re not anti-growth. We support:
- Clean small businesses
- Rural economic development
- Smart grant funding (like DEO, USDA, and EDA programs)
- Sustainable tourism, agriculture, and tech opportunities
We simply believe there’s a better way forward that doesn’t sacrifice our water, our roads, or our quality of life.
