Stand With Arturo's Family in Need

Hello my name is Lizeth I am making this go fund me on behalf of my uncle and his family. My uncle Arturo Vasquez was taken by ICE in front of his children on Sunday June 8th. My uncle and his family were getting their car washed when ICE vehicles arrived and blocked the entrance and exit of the car wash and began to racial profile everyone and began arresting the workers and customers. My uncle ran out of fear of being separated from his family and an ICE officer began chasing him in the street. When the ICE agent caught up to him , the officer was very aggressive even after my uncle voluntarily sat down the officer pulled onto his sweater, choking him which has been captured on viral video. He was then walked back to the car wash were both his sons were crying and screaming, unable to help their dad as they were aggressively forcing him into the car. HIs youngest son screams for his dad as they drive away. They were given no information to where they were taking him, why they were taking him,or where to call for information. His sons were left stranded at the car wash after ICE drove away with their dad.

We began looking at the ICE website to find answers to where he is at. We searched him up on Monday June 9th and the website provided a number to call the field office. We were calling and we got no response. Tuesday June 10th the website says he is in Texas but still does not give us information at one detention center he is at.

My uncle has been living in the United States for over 25 years. Since he has been living here he has always had two jobs to provide for his family and give his children a better future. He only has one day off and he dedicates that time to his children. My uncle is a hardworking, responsible, humble man. He has always helped others in difficult times and I know my uncle greatly appreciates all the love and support you are showing for him and his family.

We are asking for donations to help out with lawyer expenses and family necessities during this time of confusion and uncertainty.

Sus hijos se quedaron varados en el lavadero de autos después de que ICE se llevara a su padre. Empezamos a consultar el sitio web de ICE para encontrar respuestas sobre su paradero. Lo buscamos el lunes 9 de junio y el sitio web nos proporcionó un número para llamar a la oficina local. Llamamos y no obtuvimos respuesta. El martes 10 de junio, el sitio web indica que está en Texas, pero sigue sin darnos información sobre un centro de detención donde se encuentra. Mi tío lleva más de 25 años viviendo en Estados Unidos. Desde entonces, siempre ha tenido dos trabajos para mantener a su familia y darles a sus hijos un futuro mejor. Solo tiene un día libre y lo dedica a sus hijos. Mi tío es un hombre trabajador, responsable y humilde. Siempre ha ayudado a los demás en momentos difíciles y sé que mi tío agradece enormemente todo el amor y apoyo que le están demostrando a él y a su familia.
