Stand with Angela: Medical and Relocation Aid

Hi, my name is Yolanda. I am reaching out to tell my daughter's story.
On Tuesday, Dec 3, 2024, my daughter Angela was a victim of road rage. She was driving back home from picking up her sister from school when she was shot point blank in her stomach. Angela has been in TSICU for 12 days and is still fighting for her life. On Tuesday, Dec 10, Angela coded and was transferred to another hospital where they specialize in heart, lung, and kidneys. Our Father God got her to the hospital just in time where she underwent a procedure to remove the clots from on top of her heart and lungs. She has had 3 major surgeries to reconstruct the damages that were caused to her abdomen. Angela continues to fight through this awful nightmare every day. She is still on a ventilator and nitric oxide. Some days are okay, and some are stressful for her.
I have been staying with Angela every day to comfort her and to also let her know she is safe. She has wave shocks where she wakes up agitated, not knowing what’s going on. My God has been good to her and continues to cover her.
My other daughter was in the vehicle when the traumatic event took place. I, as a mother, am trying my very best to comfort her emotionally and mentally. I feel so guilty not being able to comfort her as I should, with all my time being spent at the hospital. I feel guilty all around not being able to be there for my kids. It has been a rough time for us all; however, God continues to show up and gives us all some understanding.
We are looking to raise money for Angela’s medical expenses and a new place to call home. The person who shot my daughter lives in the same complex as us. As of right now, the offender is not incarcerated, which is ridiculous. We pray every single day that justice will be served and that evil person ends up in a cage for a very long time. So, with that being said, we aren’t safe being where we reside, and we are hoping to move before my daughter gets discharged from the hospital.
My goal as a mother is to make sure my kids are safe and can lay their heads with peace and not worry. My baby girl deserves to have peace of mind, and I know this is just the beginning, but I, as her mother, will fight to make sure of that. So we ask you all to please help us in this hard time of need, even if it’s a share or prayer. We thank you all kindly for your support.
