Stand with Amanda in Her Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
On November 27, 2024, at just 36 years old, Amanda was diagnosed with Stage 4 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. After further scans and testing, they found that it had spread to her liver, lymph nodes, and bones. She has begun her treatment plan and is doctoring with Froedtert in Milwaukee and receiving weekly treatment at BayCare in Green Bay. Amanda has shown incredible strength and resilience since she started walking the path of this difficult journey. Amanda is an outgoing and loving mother to her 9-year-old daughter, Lexie. Five years ago, she lost her husband (Peter Torres) to cancer, an experience that has only deepened her compassion and understanding for those around her. Despite the weight of her circumstances, Amanda is known for her infectious smile and her unwavering kindness. She is always the first to greet her neighbors and friends, asking how they are and spreading warmth wherever she goes.

Amanda has dedicated herself to the healthcare profession, tirelessly caring for others and putting their needs before her own. As a compassionate caregiver, she has always been the first to lend a hand, offering comfort and support to those in need. Amanda’s selflessness and commitment to helping others have made her a cherished figure in the community, where she has touched countless lives with her warmth and expertise. Now, however, the roles have reversed, and Amanda finds herself in a position where she must prioritize her own health and well-being. This transition is not easy for someone who has always placed others first, but it is essential for her to embrace the care she so freely gives to others.

Now, Amanda needs our help as she takes on the medical bills that are coming in, the ongoing travel expenses for treatments, and the daily costs of living. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in easing her financial burden and allowing her to focus on what truly matters—her health and her daughter.

Let’s come together as a community to uplift Amanda, a woman who has always lifted others with her kindness. Your generosity can help ensure that she receives the best possible care and can continue to be the loving mother Lexie needs. Thank you for considering supporting this wonderful family in their time of need. Together, we can help Amanda fight this battle and empower her to create beautiful memories with her daughter.
