Hey everyone, this is Bethany and I am raising money on behalf of my mom, Alisa, who is experiencing extreme hardship right now.

Since 2001, my mom has been the victim of an emotionally abusive marriage. Behind closed doors, Alisa has continuously suffered from my dad’s manipulation, verbal abuse, and long-term affairs. She is the strongest woman I know. Watching her go through what she has, especially these past few years, has been heartbreaking, and I’m doing all I can to support to her. It’s time for her to have peace.

They are getting divorced, but my dad’s petition claims that my mom doesn’t need spousal support, saying she can work, and rely on the little money she receives from the state as her only form of income— for the rest of her life. Alisa has been on disability since 2021, due to her chronic pain onset by a failed back fusion, ankle fusion, and a lifelong genetic bone disease, just to name a few. She is unable to work, lacking the means to afford an attorney or additional legal fees as she navigates the divorce process; she needs our help.
